Christine Linnehan, MS, LCPC, BC-DMT, FT is licensed with the Maine Board of Counseling Professionals since 1993 as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). In 1998, she opened her private practice, Riverview Counseling in Scarborough, Maine, overlooking the Scarborough Marsh.
My focus on grief and bereavement began in 2001 after being trained to be a hospice volunteer for the former Hospice of Maine. Since 2004, I have been a clinical consultant at the Center for Grieving Children where I provide support to the staff and volunteers, offer training on child development, and lead parent education groups. My work at the Center inspired me to pursue certification as a Fellow in Thanatology (FT) from the Association for Death Education and Counseling. I have a special interest and training in supporting children, teens, adults, and families after a suicide loss.
